My paintings express inner feelings through form and color creating an abstract composition. I see the process of my work as spiritual experiences exploring methods like intuition, improvisation, trance, automatic painting, meditation and dreams. I find interesting the connections of Art and Magic since prehistoric times, from abstract cave paintings to Modern abstract art, as well as different indigenous art manifestations like pre-Columbian Mexican art and in general aboriginal representations from all over the globe. Painting today has become a subversive act in contrast of the virtual and technological world, almost like a wild activity, painting becomes a primitive and survival tool for the artist seeking political and spiritual independence.
