Monodosis ist das Solo-Forschungsprojekt des gefeierten Komponisten und Vibraphonisten Christopher Dell. Monodosis und zeigt Dells virtuoses Werk, das in seiner radikalen Performativität die traditionellen Dichotomien von Komposition und Performance überwindet. Mit diesem Soloprojekt schafft Dell ein komplexes Medium, um Fragen der Komposition in einem kleinen, aber dennoch transzendenten Maßstab zu erforschen. Diese Verkleinerung und Konzentration der Instrumentierung ermöglicht es Dell, die musikalische Grammatik seines umfangreichen Oeuvres ständig neu zu definieren. Die sich in serieller Form entfaltende Musik reist rasch durch ein kaleidoskopisches, in seiner Monotonie fast phantasmagorisches Reich parametrischer Ansichten. Ein Abenteuer für das Ohr.
Für die Vinyl Veröffentlichung Monodosos III erhielt denn den Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in der Rubrik “Grenzgänge” 3/2023.

Monodosis is the solo research project of acclaimed composer and vibraphonist Christopher Dell. Monodosis showcases Dell’s virtuosic work, which in its radical performativity transcends the traditional dichotomies of composition and performance. With this solo project, Dell creates a complex medium to explore questions of composition on a small, yet transcendent scale. This miniaturization and concentration of instrumentation allows Dell to constantly redefine the musical grammar of his extensive oeuvre. The music, which unfolds in serial form, quickly travels through a kaleidoscopic, almost phantasmagorical realm of parametric views. An adventure for the ear.
