Collective Composing

... is a project for the mediation and promotion of contemporary music and the emancipation of audience.

In a 5 minute blitz workshop, a simple, already formulated graphic notation method will be presented in order to subsequently provide the audience with a small "vocabulary book" of the notation method, a sheet of paper and, of course, a pen for composing. Everyone is invited to draw their own spontaneous composition using graphic notation as a guidance, which then will be randomly distributed to the musicians. Over the course of the evening, several mini-compositions will be created and played, for which the audience, in the nearest sense of the word, is drawn responsible.

... ist ein Projekt zur Vermittlung und Förderung zeitgenössischer Musik und zur Emanzipation des Publikums.

In einem fünf minütigen Blitz-Workshop wird eine, bereits ausgearbeitete, simple grafische Notationsweise vorgestellt um in weiterer Folge dem Publikum dann jeweils ein kleines „Vokabel-Heft“ der Notationsweise, ein Blatt Papier sowie natürlich auch ein Stift zur Komposition bereit zu stellen. Jede*r ist eingeladen seine eigene spontane Komposition im Anstoß der grafischen Notation zu zeichnen, die dann willkürlich an die anwesenden Musiker*innen ausgeteilt wird. Über den Abend hinweg werden mehrere Mini-Kompositionen gespielt, für die sich das Publikum, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes, selbst verantwortlich zeichnet.
